I chose the title for this panorama, created with consummate ease thanks to the new Photoshop CS4, because of the way I felt when I was on the top of the mountains of Whistler and Blackcomb, in British Columbia earlier this year. When you stand on the peaks, of either mountain, you can turn 360 degrees and see nothing but the endless reaches of the Rockies, some covered in snow, others topped by jagged rock formations, and all of them surrounding you with awe inspiring beauty. Up there, you feel two millimetres tall. Up there, you realise that you are smaller than a speck of sand in an endless desert. You feel humble, awed, overjoyed to be alive to relish this moment.
Then you come home to the real world and wonder how it is possible that human beings have managed to destroy so much of this glorius beauty we should be surrounded by every day.
I hope you like this picture. It is a reminder of the most amazing place on earth (for me anyway), and somewhere I hope to return to very soon.
PS CS4: Photomerge, crop, minor tweaks, custom signature brush.
I love the sky too, and I didn't even darken it! Glad you like it babes and you're right, we have destroyed so much of this beautiful planet. I'm just glad that there are still places untouched by human hands.

Humans have been destroying beautiful things forever. That's why we have to appreciate these little pieces of Heaven when we find them.
