Artist's Comments

My first foray into Vignetting :-) I like this view up through the branches - think it would also be nice with star rotation at night....

PS CS2:
Re-size, vignetting, border, custom signature brush.

Very nice shot, I like the perspective and the idea.
Looking forward to the night version ;)

Sweet, thanks! I'll try and get the night version done when I get hold of a quick release plate for my tripod - although the tree is in the middle of a farmer's field, so I might get shot in the process!

Ew, you should wear something bright or you will have to shout "DON'T SHOOT!" the whole time.. :D
:iconnavigator7879:
But if I wear something bright then I'll be an easy target! Maybe I'll get the ninja suit out and the black face paint lol

:) Great shot! I like both versions but this one... I've gotta say I've tried something like this a few times and I've just never quite been happy with it... but you've done well, here.

Thank you so much! :-) I'm lucky to have Photoshop CS2 at my disposal, and my brother - who's a PS wizard :-) - to help me out. Still learning, got a PS training course to go to soon :-)

:) well... I'll say this... I have that buddy who told me all the things to be done with a photo.. he loves Photoshop... as for me... I have freeware Paint.Net that does do a lot of cool but fairly basic things... and so far, for my purposes, it's been enough.

When I look at photomanipulations (check out [link] ) that are well done it makes me wish for PS but for photography itself, the basics work for me. She, by the way, has a gallery that is like what I'd like mine to be when I "grow up"... Small but really good stuff...

That is an awesome gallery - haven't attempted anything quite like that yet, but maybe one day :-) and your gallery is already slick, so if it's going to get better, you're gonna be awesome too!
